Expedite replenishment or accept a stockout? Compare one SKU

A practical way to compare incremental freight with verified SKU economics and the risk of lost availability, without invented tariffs or guaranteed forecasts.

Warehouse stock and delivery costs compared at a seller operations desk

“The next shipment arrives in ten days, but stock may last seven.” That is a reason to compare options, not an automatic instruction to pay for faster transport. Demand can change, some units may be reserved, and fees, returns and fulfillment costs affect the value of each additional sale.

Verify stock and timing first

Choose one SKU and channel. Record the snapshot date, sellable stock, reservations, inbound quantity and confirmed arrival date. Then inspect observed daily sales and any seasonal distortion. A days-of-cover figure without source freshness is too weak for a purchase decision.

ProfitVena can help examine available inventory, sales and SKU economics from connected sources. Completeness depends on supported fields, SKU mapping and configured cost rules. The guide to cash tied up in slow-moving stock starts with verifiable values rather than treating every counted unit as free cash.

Compare incremental cost with contribution

Revenue is not the benefit of expediting. List selling price after discounts, purchase cost, marketplace fees, logistics charges, attributable advertising and returns. Flag a calculation as partial when a material expense is missing.

Illustration only: after confirmed expenses, a unit contributes 420 RUB before unallocated taxes and overhead. Expediting 80 units costs 14,000 RUB more than standard delivery, or 175 RUB per unit if all 80 are actually sold in the relevant period. The 245 RUB difference is not forecast profit. The team still needs to estimate how many sales would truly be lost, how much inventory would remain and which charges are incomplete. These are example assumptions, not a customer result or carrier tariff.

Compare at least three choices

  1. Keep standard delivery and check how reliable the demand estimate is.
  2. Expedite only the likely shortfall, considering minimum order and pack sizes.
  3. Transfer available stock or change the sales plan, including transfer cost.

For each choice, separate actuals from estimates and record the source date. Unknown freight is not zero. Align currencies, taxes and time periods before comparing. A buyer should approve the decision against primary records.

Planned ProfitVena and Yasnora Logistics AI connection

Within Wicsora, ProfitVena owns seller economics. A standalone Yasnora Logistics AI module is being designed for shipment events, warehouse movements and operational scenarios. Neither that module nor its ProfitVena connection is being presented as available today.

Start with one SKU, two delivery options and a list of missing inputs. That will reveal which part of the decision is worth automating. Русская версия.
