Ozon has ended its goods-insurance program: how to track earlier claims

Ozon's Ingosstrakh program covering certain mass-damage and drone-related risks ended on October 13, 2026. Active policies remained effective through 23:59 Moscow time on October 12 under their contract terms. Policies are no longer available in the seller account, and insurance charges stop accruing from October 13.

The critical distinction is between future coverage and a claim arising during the covered period. Ozon says sellers insured when an incident occurred will still receive the applicable payment. Closure of the program does not cancel an eligible earlier incident while inventory work, documentation or settlement continues.

A practical reconciliation checklist

  1. Preserve any available policy, coverage dates, insured-goods list and terms. If the interface no longer shows a document, ask Ozon support for evidence rather than estimating the dates.
  2. Record each incident date, location, affected items, case reference and current status. The incident date and the eventual payment date serve different purposes.
  3. Watch the Insurance section for inventory reports and claim documents; Ozon says these will appear as its work completes.
  4. Keep expected and received amounts separate. A promised payment is not cash until it appears in the settlement.

Ozon also ended the Fashion insurance-bonus program. It says participants will receive payments for October 5–12 in November, with individual notifications. Check your own eligibility and amount rather than extrapolating from the general notice. Our earlier explanation of the Fashion rules now describes only the closed coverage period.

A useful ledger separates the historical policy cost, an open eligible claim and the eventual payment. ProfitVena can help inspect marketplace data and configured costs where sources are available; claim completeness still depends on seller documents and marketplace evidence.
